This seems to be an unfortunate pattern in Moreland – that sporting fields and pavilions are bursting at the seams and clubs are desperate for new, renovated or extended facilities. Why is Moreland neglecting such crucial social infrastructure?
Council needs to urgently revisit its plan for sporting facilities. The Sport and Physical Activity strategy expired in 2018! This seems symptomatic of neglect.
Moreland needs a Master Plan and real engagement with State government about ensuring these vital community assets are properly maintained and enhanced.
