The SATS campaign wants accessible tram stops on Sydney Road from Brunswick Road to Bakers Road Coburg. https://www.facebook.com/SATScampaign

I pledge that if elected, I commit to support the campaign for Sydney rd Accessible Tram Stops

● I commit to vote in favour of Council motions in support of the campaign

● I commit to show public support

● I commit to instruct Merri-bek Council to advocate for permanent accessible tram stops with the Victorian Government

This is a difficult issue for Meri-bek Council who can only lobby state government. It is hard to imagine the state government prioritising Merribek for this work. The current Labor state government has mothballed the Skyrail extension and it’s unlikely a future Liberal state government would invest in it. High Street Northcote is fortunate in having a marginal Labor seat in the seat of Northcote.
