Mel Yuan for Brunswick

I urge voters to return Sue Bolton (Babadi Djinanang) and Labros Tapinos (Brunswick West). Sue, Lambros and Adam Pulford are standing for re-election. With several experienced councillors not standing again, and with the introduction of single-member wards, their experience is invaluable.

Sue Bolton has been a consistent and active voice for residents’ concerns at Council. She is a great friend to Brunswick and enjoys great support across Merri-bek.

Lambros Tapinos is highly experienced and has a profound personal knowledge of the area and its residents. He has effective relationships within the Labor Party, helping to advocate at that level.

Adam Pulford perhaps enjoys the “safest” ward in Merri-bek and will undoubtedly rejoin, a likely inexperienced new set of, councillors.

Merri-bek will continue to experience rapid population growth and the stretching of services and infrastructure, so common in the south, will stretch west and north. Experience in navigating these issues will be important for residents.
